Guasha originated in ancient China and promotes healing by circulating qi (energy) and drawing fluids, toxins, and xueblood to the surface. Using a Guasha tool, the practitioner will take long strokes on the effected area, alternating speed and pressure until the patients body ceases to return a response, we call this diminished returns. Guasha can be very beneficial in breaking down scar tissue, joint mobility and alleviating pain.
