I took this picture, and after looking at it, I immediately hated it.
My spine is so warped that when I try to sit upright, my stomach is still pushed forward.
All I could see was loose skin and folds.
And then I stopped myself.
I recognized what I was doing.
I put my phone down and I walked away just to take a momentβ¦
Taking deep breaths, I closed my eyes.
I returned to my phone and looked again.
I am beautiful, I said out loud.
I am strong.
My loose skin is proof of how far Iβve come on my journey to being a happier, healthier person.
My back may be fucked up, but look at me sitting tall.
