It's kind of hard to tell, because I feel wonderful being away from the situation I was in, despite some difficult moments on the road. I was actually pretty terrified of doing this trip, even though the chaotic mess within me has always wanted to. Besides the fact that I'm dragging three kids along, I've had horrible chronic pain and mobility issues for a long time, so planning a trip to go hiking and be outdoorsy was scary. I'm not 100%, but I'm feeling much better than I did before, and have been able to challenge myself.. a bit too much today. Anyway, I did manage to film some stuff in the shower the other night that I'll be sending out to my road trip supporters once the internet cooperates enough to upload everything. I lived a long time in a situation that constantly felt like it couldn't get worse, but it kept doing just that, and I'm convinced it took many years off my life beyond just stealing the quality. Anyway, I like to show my appreciation for contributions to the cause. It basically goes toward lodging (my back can only take so much of sleeping in the vehicle), food and some fun. I tried my hand at a cheap hotel tonight, and have been confronted about wearing a mask, coughed at, overheard two domestic situations while walking through the halls and the parking lot is dark and the internet is giving me flashbacks to the 90s... so, call me a princess if you want, but I'm going to need to do better next time.
