I was really busy with work, and found being in a relationship too demanding. For me personally, when I've had a super busy day at work, the last thing I want to do is text/call someone or be on my phone in general. He had a lot more time than me as well! I feel like if the relationship dynamic includes 1 busy person, 1 not so busy person - the busy person either has to find time, or the non-busy person has to be ok with limited time spent. I wasn't totally opposed to the idea of getting back together once my busy schedule cools down...but after our interactions after the "break up," it's a no from me. I tried to break it off clean, and he was really pulling every excuse to stay together. I found his clinginess very stressful...I don't think it's ever ok to coerce somebody to stay with you, especially when they've expressed multiple times that they don't want to date you. I'm going to continue having lots of casual fun, but a serious relationship is totally off the books for me next year.
