The news of the world is very heavy on me today. These kids have been shown for most of their lives the state doesn’t care about their lives. They have been shown police specifically do not care about their lives. They have limited prospects with astronomical cost of living and a planet that is rapidly heating. They are media literate and aware. They understand their problems are intrinsically linked with global imperialism and capitalism. They understand they belong to others harmed by these structures more than they belong to the state. Of course they’re fighting. That’s what we should all do. Corporatism doesn’t care if you kiss its toes. Once you stop having money in your pockets for it to pick, it will throw you away, too. That’s why homelessness is being criminalized across the US. Money doesn’t make any sense if the only way to make it limitless is to cause great harm to all. All we have is each other and the planet that grows our food. Please find each other. Please stop letting politics and tribalism and assumption keep you from connecting with others. Educate where you can. Reach across where you can. Nobody is perfect but most of us can be taught to be considerate, and honor the humanity in our neighbor instead of protecting the brutality of the top 1% As far as I and P goes…. anytime conservative pundits swap sides from hating you because of conspiracy theories about your religious identity to loving you because you are the catalyst for brutality against kids protesting imperialism and genocide… you should look hard at what you’re supporting.
