I've been asked quite often how long I have been practicing yoga. I learned and studied Iyengar yoga for two years about ten years ago and had dabbled in and out of practicing usually for no longer than a month at a time. One year ago however, on that magical island of Bali, I decided to practice some yoga online with you guys. I mark this moment as when my true yoga journey began. Not just physical yoga, but living the yogi lifestyle. Upon my return to the U.S., I decided to dedicate myself to the practice. I began my online 200-hour yoga teacher training -- not so much to teach, but more to deepen my own practice -- and shared much of this journey with you all online via Chaturbate. Something magical happened in Bali. I tapped into and harnessed an internal energy that I carry to this day and for a year now I have been practicing yoga consistently. I remember on the morning of this stream I had watched 'How to do Sun Salutations" like 5 times so I could memorize it. I never really practiced those in Iyengar yoga. Notice my physical practice of yoga is very different from where I am today. My form, technique, flexibility, strength, balance and concentration have all improved so much. I'm currently working on a fund to help support my 500-hour yoga teacher training back in Bali where the journey began. I really do want to teach yoga, but I'll admit that throughout this last year since my online training, I feel like I need much more hands on training to effectively teach and guide others at the level I would like to.
